Pragpur-Dharamshala_2019

Pragpur is a village situated in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Prag means “pollen” in Sanskrit and pur means “full of”, so Prag-pur means “full of pollen”, which rightly describes the area when it is ablaze with blossoms in spring. Along with Pragpur, the pristine town of Garli is a part of the Heritage Zone, with its Anglo-Indian architectural style that showcases the rich influence on European culture on the Jaswan Royal family. Pragpur’s narrow cobblestone streets resonates the memoirs of the European cities, along with unchanged shops since ages as well as use of locally available building materials like slate used for roofing and mud plastered on stone walls.
