The palatial precinct consists of various architectural marvels like Jahaz mahal, Hindola Mahal with Kapoor talav and Munj talave and the subterranean baolis; with considerable references to the Persian architecture styles. This brutalistic stylistic expression in the Malwa Islamic architecture, is devoid of any elaborate decoration; conversely the pointed arches assembly either in a series of repetitive structural system or an arcade that dominates the elevations.
